About Me
Welcome to my blog! I’m thrilled to have you here as I stumble my way through this exciting journey of self-discovery, transformation, and connection. Grab a cup of coffee (or wine, no judgment here) and let me share a bit about myself and the madness behind this blog.
Pursuing My Dream of Becoming a Writer
For eight years, I dedicated myself to teaching middle school writing, guiding young minds to find their voice and tell their stories. (Ever tried to convince a teenager that grammar matters? It’s a hoot.) While teaching was incredibly fulfilling, my own dream of becoming a writer always took a back seat. Stepping out of the classroom was a monumental decision, driven by the desire to finally prioritize my passion for writing and to find who I am today. This blog is a testament to that dream, where I share my journey, thoughts, and experiences with the hope of inspiring others to pursue their own aspirations.
Embracing Major Life Changes
Life is full of transitions, and this past year has been my most transformative yet. Deciding to leave my teaching career, I faced an identity crisis, questioning who I was beyond the classroom and beyond being a mom. During this time, I welcomed my second child, lost 60 pounds, and started this blog. Each of these changes was a step toward rediscovering myself and reclaiming my sense of purpose. Navigating the challenges and triumphs of being a stay-at-home mom has been both daunting and rewarding, and I’m here to share my experiences, tips, and resources with you.
Navigating Family Life
Family life is a beautiful, chaotic dance that I navigate daily with my two wonderful kids and my husband, an entrepreneurial 3D designer who works from home. Balancing the needs of my children, supporting my husband’s business, and finding moments for myself can be overwhelming. But it’s also filled with joy, laughter, and countless learning opportunities. On this blog, I’ll share the ups and downs of family life, practical advice, and heartfelt stories that many can relate to.
Connecting with You
This blog is more than just a personal journal; it’s a space for connection. Whether you’re pursuing a dream that has long been on the back burner, undergoing a major life change, or navigating the complexities of family life, I hope you find something here that resonates with you. My goal is to offer insights, encouragement, and a sense of community. If any part of my journey speaks to you or provides help, then I’ve achieved what I set out to do.
Thank you for joining me on this adventure. Together, we’ll create lives we truly love, all while chasing our dreams and embracing the beautiful chaos of everyday life.
With love,
